Course Overview

The Class 3A course provides individuals with the ability to operate tandem axle trucks with air brakes upon obtaining their license. The two-week duration is tailored for those with minimal to no experience in handling large vehicles, allowing individuals ample time to learn, comprehend, and feel adequately prepared for driving afterward.

Please note that all class hours specified are approximate, as the course prioritizes spending time in areas requiring the most training. Practical instruction at Thunder maintains a 2:1 student-to-unit ratio, enabling students to observe and operate the equipment.

Included in the tuition fee is one road exam, conducted on the last day of the course. Should students require a second test, additional charges for the exam and equipment use will apply.
